Nearly a decade of design-build experience and a BA from Bennington College focusing on Architecture and Sculpture, my practice is rooted in curiosity and craftsmanship. I draw inspiration from Bauhaus and VKhutemas traditions, as well as the eco-centric design philosophies of mid to late-20th-century architects and makers.
My sculptural habits and material choices often replicate aspects of industrial practices. Being somewhat reliant on and admittedly in awe of digital fabrication, emerging technologies, and the processes used in industrial design, I believe these tools can allow us to achieve incredible things if handled responsibly. Not dissimilar to the ethos embodied by many 20th-century craftspeople, I don’t seek to abolish industrial practice but to humanize and localize it—to reintroduce the human hand into an increasingly out-of-control and automated field.
My multidisciplinary approach spans a diverse range of skills, including:
3D modeling
Digital fabrication (CNC, Laser Cutting, 3D Printing)
Python / Arduino
Metal Work
Wood Work
Ceramics( Hand building, Slip Casting, 3D printing)
Architectural Drafting and Rendering
Clothing Design
